Although every day is special with the one you love, Valentine's Day (or any day) can be a great time to make something special. You can even create handmade items together as a great bonding experience.
Chocolate Body Icing is quick and simple. Some of the items you probably have in your kitchen or ingredient stash. This formula is for 10 oz. of body icing, but will increase in volume as you whip. The ratio is 65/35 with 65% butters and 35% oils.
6 oz. shea butter
0.5 oz. cocoa butter
3.5 oz. oil(s) of your choice (you can use avocado oil, olive oil, or any oil you have available)
2 tbls. of cocoa powder
Step 1: Weigh butters and oils. Melt them in the microwave or double boiler. You can refer to other body butter tutorial posts as a reference.
Step 2: Place the container in the refrigerator to cool down quickly. Make sure it's the consistency below before whipping. You need a little texture to whip properly without oil flying all over the place.
Step 3: Whip the mixture until it resembles fluffy cake batter and add cocoa powder. Continue mixing until it's nice and fluffy.
Step 4: Package and it's ready to go. This was done using piping tips but it's not necessary. It just makes it look a little more decorative. Chocolate candy optional lol.
